HughesNet service and customer service

Hi all,



I was recommended to get HughesNet. HughesNet told me that their service was Equal to cable internet. I ATT & T gave $ 10 a discount on phone, even DirecTV said HughesNet was good.


Well as I know now HughesNet only promises 25mbs, cable is 125mps. So I called to cancel because I was lied to the start, they did not care and charge. I was on the phone with the "customer service" in the Philippines for 6 hours and got no where, they do not have a supervisor. They said an engineering tech would call within 3 days, two Weeks later, nothing. Well, I googled and found a USA number and called. They read the same script as Philippines. Two hours on the phone today and got them to reduce fee by $ 100. They also said they have a supervisor and only a person.
