I have been running a full reset on my Shield TV. Google Home Assistant available anywhere. I've checked and I'm version 6.something (not in front of the box at the moment) of the nVidia Experience and have removed all updates for Google Play Services and redownloaded
Has anyone got any further ideas? If needs be I can do another reset
